Configuring OSX Mail

To configure your email account using MacMail follow the steps below:

  1. 1. Open MacMail

  2. 2. Click the Mail tab and choose Preferences

  3. 3. Fill in your name, email address, mail.yourdomain.com for the incoming mail server, your username (your email address again), and POP as the mail type. Enter mail.yourdomain.com into the outgoing mailserver field.

  4. 4. After clicking OK, you will see the following window asking you if you would like to import mailboxes.

  5. 5. The Accounts window will now appear.

  6. 6. Click the Edit button.

  7. 7. Now click OK to save your options. In the Mailbox menu in Mail, click the Go Online option. You will be asked for your password and then you are ready to read your mail.
