As part of a larger group telivo is directly affiliated to an official registrar of global domain names (.COM, .NET). There are only a dozen UK companies to receive ICANN accreditation. For telivo, this means that we deal directly with the global registry for .COM and .NET. We ARE NOT ,unlike some of our competitors, resellers of ICANN accredited registrars.
telivo is also a registered member of Nominet UK the registry for .UK domain names (.CO.UK, .ORG.UK, .ME.UK). Again this allows us to deal directly with the registry rather than go through a third party.
We believe in being honest and upfront with our customers. There are no hidden charges, what you see is what you get.
Unlike many of our competitors we don't charge for changing the DNS entries or for transferring domains to another ISP.

With telivo you have control over where your domain name resolves and can change the nameservers easily through Control Panel interface in a matter of minutes.
The Domain Name System (DNS) is what makes the Internet work by mapping domain names to physical machine addresses. This means that if the DNS for your domain name is not managed properly you will encounter problems with web and e-mail access. telivo's primary and secondary nameservers are located on different physical networks which provides increased redundancy.
Many other companies host the DNS information for their customer's domains on nameservers located on the same physical network. If that network becomes unavailable then so does the domain information , and e-mail will not be delivered or possibly lost. Some of our competitors don't even own their secondary name servers but instead just share them, and some even use a single machine pretending to be two!

Many of our competitors have one mailserver (probably on the same physical network as their nameservers), which is adequate until their network has problems and then their customer's e-mail will not be routed correctly and will either be bounced back to the sender or lost altogether.
